Healthy travel: health risk perception, protective behaviour and effective communication (2018)

The project aims to raise the awareness of rabies as a global neglected disease, and to identify the best message to communicate with Australian travellers regarding preventive measures against rabies. It advances message framing research by employing an interdisciplinary approach. It is relevant to National Research Priorities and will be broadened into an ARC Linkage proposal. The findings can be used for future situations involving other emerging health issues for Australian travellers.
