The basis for well-being along the life course: from birth cohorts to `big' data (2017–2018)

Abstract:
The substantive goals of my UQ Strategic Fellowship are: (1) to assume a leadership role in teaching and learning within the School of Social Science and (2) to develop key research agendas in the field of mental health, substance use and life course research. This fellowship will not only produce unique evidence on the role of prenatal influences on offspring well-being, but will also capitalise on the wealth of prospective information available from administrative data. Expected outcomes are 1) to establish a UQ repository of life course resources that will provide an understanding for life course trajectories of health and wellbeing, hence 2) help guide and inform decision-making for policy makers, clinicians and all Australians.
