Novel microbial technologies for improved treatment of industrial wastewater (2007–2010)

Abstract:
An international collaborative research project to develop novel microbial technologies in granular sludge systems and explore mechanisms that create the conversion from floccular to granular sludge for implementation in abattoir wastewater treatment. The project will focus on the devlopment of a microarray method to determine the function of microorganisms in granules; bioreactor operation at labscale; and implementation at pilot-scale.
