Overview

Dr. Yasar Atas was born in Gaziantep (Turkey) and has grown up in France. He is an early-career researcher who graduated in 2011 from the Université Pierre et Marie Curie - Paris 6, and received his PhD degree in theoretical physics in 2014 from the Université Paris Sud 11. He is currently a postdoctoral researcher at the School of Mathematics and Physics at the University of Queensland working on transport properties of ultracold atomic gases. He has interests in a wide range of topics in theoretical physics, including random matrix theory, quantum spin chains, many-body localisation, and quantum quenches.
