Overview

I am a former lecturer in psychology at UQ, now currently focused only on research. I am connected to the UQ School of Psychology as an Honorary Fellow / Lecturer.

My primary field is Cyber-Psychology.

I am interested in the effects of AI on human emotions. I am also interested in how specific patterns of social media usage by ourselves and those we connect with, impact our empathic responses (both online and face to face), and overall emotional state.

I use several methods to research emotional and empathic responses, including eye-tracking, which can reveal how eye-gaze patterns to faces may relate to the quality of social interaction.

Unfortunately, I am not currently taking on PhD students.
