Research Interests

  • Quality of Life
This research investigates quality of life (physical, social, and psychological well-being) in families where a child/adolescent has a chronic illness. With these patient-reported outcomes, we can determine the efficacy of interventions (medical and otherwise) from the child's and their parent's perspectives.
  • Corporal punishment
This research aims to understand the psychological consequences of various forms of parental discipline in response to children's (mis)behaviour. We are also exploring cross-cultural differences in the use of physical punishment of children.
