Overview

Dr Stuart Middleton is a qualitative researcher who explores political contests between different societal institutions. He has explored this topic with relation to the impact of allegations of sexual abuse against the Salvation Army, challenges to the health profession of maintaining values of care while under bureaucratic pressure for quick patient turnover rates, and methodological techniques for exploring latent institutional conflict in hospital settings. His work has been published in leading journals such as Organizational Research Methods, British Journal of Management, and Journal of Management Inquiry.
