Climate change, human impacts in estuaries, conservation of biodiversity

Research Interests:

  • Effects of climate change on coastal and estuarine systems, including coral reefs, seagrass, mangroves and rocky intertidal communities
  • Effects of physical disturbance on estuarine communities;
  • Marine Representative Areas Programme - Rocky Shores;
  • Spatial arrangement of habitat and the implications for biodiversity and fisheries production of estuarine systems;
  • Long-term sustainability of bait - harvesting in estuarine systems;
  • Dynamics of estuarine crab and fish populations

Research Interests

    biodiversity in complex biogenic habitats on the continental shelf and slope

    Effects of climate change (rising temperatures, sea level and storm activity) on biodiversity in estuarine and marine systems, including coral reefs and rocky shores
