Overview

Sally is an interdisciplinary scientist working at the interface of causality and machine learning. She has studied biomedical science, medicine, surgery, biomedical engineering and has been a registered and practicing medical practitioner for over 20 years. She has also studied quantum physics and machine learning— her PhD topic was quantum causal learning— and she is currently a CI at the ARC Center of Excellence for Engineered Quantum Systems. Her research goal is to infer causal relationships from different types of data, and build models that are robust with respect to interventional distributional shifts. Her research combines theory, methodology, and applications across a broad range of disciplines.
