Dr Azadeh Rezvani is a Research Fellow and Lecturer at The University of Queensland. Azadeh was awarded her PhD in Management from Queensland University of Technology. Her diverse research areas include Leadership behaviour and competencies; Innovation adoption, Employee wellbeing, Project Management and Emotional Intelligence. She is also an active researcher with publications in national and international journals. Her work has been published in internationally top-tier ranking journals including International Journal of Project Management, International Journal of Information Management, European Management Journal, Computers in Human Behavior, Team Performance Management and in a variety of conferences and media as she looks to participate with multiple and different audiences.

Research Interests

  • Leadership competencies and behaviours
    Leadership is an important function of management which helps to maximize efficiency and to achieve organizational goals. Following on from my master and PhD research program, I have maintained an interest in leadership competency and behaviour in large and complex organisations. Articles based on this research have appeared in the International Journal of Project Management, International Journal of Information Management and Computers in Human Behaviour.
  • Innovation adoption
    It is important to remember that “a firm's success is rooted in its ability to drive innovation streams. Many innovation initiatives fail to succeed due to lack of proper management strategy and competency. Articles based on this research interest has appeared in Computers Human Behaviour and International Journal of Information Management.
  • Emotional Intelligence
    Emotional intelligence is essentially the way you perceive, understand, express, and manage emotions and is becoming increasingly vital to humans' success in the increasingly digital future of work. The articles based on this research has been published in International Journal of Project Management and Team Performance Management.
  • Employee well being
    Employee well being is a key issue that companies are striving to address to ensure that their employees remain happy and motivated at work.
  • Information System Use
  • Project Management
    The importance of soft factors or human factors are gaining increasing recognition as an important field of research in project management. Articles based on this research have appeared in the International Journal of Project Management.
