After completing a Master’s degree in life sciences and applied statistics at Agrocampus Ouest in France, I moved to Australia and worked as a pharmaceutical patent searcher for two years.

I completed my PhD in 2018 under the supervision of Dr Colin Scott at CSIRO (Biocatalysis Team) and ANU (Easton lab, Canberra). My project aimed at understanding better the evolution of new functions in bacteria and the enzymatic basis of bacterial resistance to atrazine, a herbicide. I am interested in protein expression in bacteria and plants, the discovery of new enzymes and enzyme engineering.

In 2019 I started a Postdoctoral Research Fellowship in the Vicker’s group, working on understanding biocatalysis in crowded environments using Virus-Like Particles.

Research Interests

  • Enzyme purification and characterisation
  • Virus-like particles

  • Doctor of Philosophy, Australian National University
