Tara is a postdoctoral researcher at the Australian Research Council Centre of Excellence for Engineered Quantum Systems (EQUS). She is a science communicator who works with quantum physicists to understand the implications of emerging technologies in their field.

Tara completed her PhD in Canberra at Australia's National Centre for Public Awareness of Science at ANU. She completed both her Bachelor and Masters degrees at the University of Queensland.

Research areas: Public communication of science and technology, queering science communication, and responsible innovation

Research Impacts

Tara's work aims to pre-empt discussion over the impacts of quantum technologies to help shape technologies that are both socially desirable and created in the public interest.
