Tara is a postdoctoral researcher at the Australian Research Council Centre of Excellence for Engineered Quantum Systems (EQUS). She is a science communicator and social scientist who works with quantum physicists to understand the implications of emerging technologies in their field. Her research is co-funded by the CSIRO’s Responsible Innovation Future Science Platform.

Tara completed her PhD in Canberra at Australia's National Centre for Public Awareness of Science at ANU. She completed both her Bachelor and Masters degrees at the University of Queensland.

Research areas: Science communication, science and technology studies, responsible innovation

Research Impacts

Tara's work will help pre-empt discussion over the positive and negative impacts of quantum technologies. This will help shape technologies that are both socially desirable and created in the public interest.
