Overview

Pradeep Dewapriya is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Queensland Alliance for Environmental Health Sciences (QAEHS). He completed his PhD at the Institute for Molecular Bioscience (IMB), the University of Queensland, in 2019, focusing on developing strategies to explore novel and bioactive microbial secondary metabolites. After completing his PhD, Pradeep joined GEOMAR Helmholtz Center for Ocean Research Kiel, Germany, as a postdoctoral research fellow in analytical chemistry. At GEOMAR, his research focused on developing and applying modern mass spectrometry-based analytical techniques and non-targeted metabolomic approaches.

As a researched focus postdoctoral research fellow at QAEHS, he is interested in developing mass spectrometry-based non-target analytical approaches to rapidly identify contaminants of immerging concerns in complex environmental samples while understanding those substances’ ecological and health impacts.
