Overview

Dr. Jiaying Li is currently a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Queensland Alliance for Environmental Health Sciences (QAEHS), the University of Queensland. She obtained her Ph.D. in 2020 at Advanced Water Management Centre (AWMC), UQ. Her research focuses on wastewater-based epidemiology and sewer processes, including the fate of illicit drugs, emerging contaminants, and photogenic viruses (including SARS-CoV-2) in urban sewer systems, source tracking of pollutants of emerging concern, passive sampling, and modelling transformation of biochemical markers in wastewater and sewer networks. She is currently involved in Queensland's Wastewater Surveillance Program for SARS-CoV-2​. She has published 18 fully refereed journal papers with citations > 1035.
