Participatory Decision Making and Policy Production in Child Welfare (2006–2009)

Abstract:
This project aims to investigate participatory decision making and policy production in key contexts of child welfare service. Its significance lies in creating an evidence base for participatory practice in child welfare contexts. The focus on families with young children is significant also for building knowledge about best practice in promoting a healthy start to life for vulnerable children and families. Outcomes include the development of new models of decision making and policy production that will be used by our collaborative partners to promote stakeholder participation in child welfare services
