Newcomer socialisation: Examining the processes predicting changes in organisational identification over time (2007–2010)

Abstract:
Socialisation of new organisational members represents a challenge, especially in a context where the current workforce is in flux. Moreover, it remains to be explained how new group members come to take a new identity into their sense of self. The present research develops and tests a conceptual framework that examines how new employees come to identify with their organisation. The research identifies antecedents and processes that could increase organisational commitment and reduce work turnover.''
