Skye Doherty uses creative and design-led research methods to explore alternative futures and address wicked problems. She has worked on projects in journalism, law, education, and energy, among others. Her work has led to both conceptual and practical outcomes, including an award-winning storytelling tool, legislative change and new curriculum. She came to academic research after an international career and as a journalist. She leads the Global Change Scholars Program in the UQ Graduate School, is a member of UQ’s Human-Centred Computing research group in the School of Information Technology and Electrical Engineering, and leads the Design for Social Change theme within the Centre for Communication and Social Change.
