Dr Sheleigh Lawler (PhD) is a Research Fellow, Cancer Prevention Research Centre, School of Public Health, The University of Queensland. She is a health psychologist with a strong emphasis on behavioural approaches to disease prevention and health promotion. Her program of research focuses on broad reach physical activity and diet interventions for a number of population subgroups including cancer survivors, office workers and type 2 diabetes.

Research Interests

  • Understanding psychosocial variables and their influence on health behaviours
  • Developing, trialling and integrating best teaching practices for blended learning
  • Broad reach behavioural (physical activity, sedentary behaviour, and diet) interventions for chronic disease prevention and management
