Comprehensive cell imaging facility (ARC LIEF Grant administered by QUT) (2011–2012)
The Comprehensive Cell Imaging Facility (CCIF) will provide researchers with the capacity to undertake high
resolution live cell imaging and analysis both in-vitro and in-vivo to elucidate the biological mechanisms and
interactions that underpin biological systems in health and disease. The CCIF will enable high resolution
visualisation of cellular/intracellular processes in both live and fixed cells; fluorescence and bioluminescence
analysis and purification of target cell subsets; and real time tracking and visualisation of target cell migration
and function within live animal systems. This combination of high performance in-vitro and in-vivo cellular
imaging capability will facilitate important basic and applied biological research.
